Cookie Policy

The short version

SeenMeter sets no advertising cookies and does no cross-site tracking. We use one analytics service — PostHog— to see which pages help and what to improve, and it only loads with your consent. If you’re in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, nothing loads until you accept in the banner; everywhere else it’s on by default and you can turn it off any time from the switch below. Your theme (light/dark) preference is also kept in your browser. That’s the whole list.

What this site stores in your browser

• Theme preference— kept in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers whether you prefer light or dark. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. This is not a cookie and is set with or without analytics consent.
• Consent choice— when you answer the analytics banner (or use the switch below), your answer is stored in local storage so we don’t ask again and so analytics stays off if you turned it off.
• PostHog analytics cookie (ph_*) — a first-party cookie holding a random id so PostHog can tell one visitor’s sessions apart. It loads only with your consent. PostHog, Inc. (United States) receives your IP address, browser details and referrer, and records which pages and features you interact with, including session replay with every input masked so what you type is never recorded. PostHog also mirrors some state in local storage under ph_* keys.
• Strictly necessary cookies — if our hosting or CDN provider sets a short-lived cookie to serve the site securely (for example, basic bot protection), it is used only for that and never to profile or track you.

We set no advertising or marketing cookies of any kind.

Your choices

In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland the banner is your control: choose Declineand PostHog never loads. Everywhere else, analytics are on by default — use the switch below to turn them off. Declining or turning off stops PostHog in this tab and any other open ones and deletes its cookies and local-storage keys straight away, with no reload, and we never re-enable analytics on a later visit once you’ve turned it off. We don’t respond to "Do Not Track" signals in a standardized way; the switch below is the reliable control.

If this changes

If we add other cookies or tracking later, we will update this policy first, say exactly what is set and why, and — where required — keep it behind the consent banner.
